One of the biggest thrills of going to a B&B is getting away and relaxing. Most of us admit we need to relax a lot more often than what we do.
That is one of the reasons Softub Canada owner Wayne Fraser got into the hot tub business. He personally loves hot tubs; Softub had been successfully launched in the USA, and he wanted Canadians to see what a great product it was so he threw his hat into the ring. “I thought Softub was the easiest and most convenient way to unwind at the end of the day—I was hooked the moment I tried it.”
Wayne is seeing more bed and breakfasts ordering Softubs. The easy part is that Softub plugs into a normal 120V outlet. “The set up is simple and takes just minutes- we deliver the tub and fill it with water and demonstrate how to use the water treatment products to keep the water fresh, clear, and clean. Within a day you can use it. Softub weighs as little as 50lbs. empty so is easily moved from one location to another, indoors to out, across the room or across the country.”
Sleepy Hollow B&B in Gananoque, Ontario, has Softub in their guest rooms. Owner Don Matthews says he likes their versatility: “I can move them outdoors for an event or group, or use them in our superior suites and that is a real attraction for couples—those rooms book up first.”
The same for the Millcroft Inn in Alton, Ontario: the Softubs are located outside on a private patio for four of the two-storey suites. Couples love it; they can watch the snow fall in winter and watch the sun set in summer—it is a perfect marriage.
